Baku Stock Exchange turnover declines

Total turnover on the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 11.853 billion manats in January–March 2026, down 33.6% year-on-year, the exchange said.

The number of transactions over the past year declined by 20.3% to 5,934.

The BSE was established in 1997 with an authorized capital of 5.04 million manats. Its shareholders include 20 legal entities, among them six local banks — Azerbaijan Industry Bank, Bank of Baku, Kapital Bank, International Bank of Azerbaijan, Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan and United Credit Bank (in liquidation), as well as 13 local and foreign investment companies and Borsa Istanbul.

Except for ASB, each shareholder holds a 4.76% stake, while ASB owns 9.52% of the exchange.
