Azerbaijan police detain 45 suspects, solve 59 crimes in a day

Azerbaijani police solved 59 crimes across the country on April 2, including 49 incidents recorded that day and 10 from previous periods, the Interior Ministry said.

Police also detained 74 wanted individuals, including 65 listed as debtors, and handed them over to relevant authorities, according to the ministry’s press service.

Law enforcement agencies identified 16 cases related to наркотics and 11 cases involving the illegal possession and seizure of weapons and ammunition.

In total, 45 people suspected of committing crimes were detained, the ministry said.
