Zaur Hajibabayev becomes two-time world champion

Azerbaijani fighter Zaur Hajibabayev has become the winner of the World MMA Championship in Prague, the Czech Republic, Azartac reported.

The competition, which was attended by athletes from 40 countries, was represented by five athletes from Azerbaijan.

Zaur Hajibabayev won the gold medal. Defeating all challengers Hajibabayev became world champion in the weight category over 100 kg for the second time in his career. He secured the medal thanks to a victory over Kazakh Mokhmad Sulimanov.

Other Azerbaijani fighters Emin Huseynov and Taleh Najafzade grabbed the bronze medals of the Championship.

In team total Azerbaijan became third after Russia and Kazakhstan.
