MMA fighter pummelling KOed opponent on floor gets shock of his life

MMA fighter pummelling KOed opponent on floor gets shock of his life
14.01.2016 19:00
The moment 185lb Nathias Frederick gets taken down – by the ref – is captured on camera.

Frederick looked completely dominant as he sat aside opponent Ahmad Aswad, punching his prone body.

But umpire Leon Roberts proved you should never mess with a ref as he subdued Frederick with a choke hold in a split second.

Aswad seemed to be holding his own in the Fight UK: Last Man Standing lightweight bout.

But Brummie Frederick dodges Aswad's swings before catching him with a left hook.

Frederick dives on fallen Aswad and starts beating the living daylights out of him with his powerful right – refusing to stop even as Roberts tries to pull him off.

So Roberts takes matters into his own hands – literally – with a rear naked choke hold.

As the commentator says: "Anyone who says refs don't train: watch that."

Needless to say, Frederick was awarded the KO victory.
