In the vertigo-inducing clip, the man can be seen holding himself aloft over the fatal drop.

And he doesn't stay still either, but actually bends and straightens his legs, moving his weight.

Emphasising the danger, the camera captures the street below with its cars no more than distant dots.

The video concludes with the man regaining his feet – just – hopping from one foot to the other.

It is believed the daredevil is Oleg Sherstyachenko, known as Oleg Cricket to his fans.

He has become a social media sensation with his jaw-dropping stunts – many in Dubai.

In a previous clip he can be seen leaping from ledge to ledge atop the city's Sofitel Hotel.

The Russian-born adrenalin junkie once said: "Fear is in each of us, you have to experience fear - that's normal.

"I like the height and enjoy doing great shots to see the reactions of those who subscribe to my Instagram."
