Belavia noted of ceasing flights from Minsk to Baku

Belarus has sent official letter to AZAL (Azerbaijan Air Lines) to stop direct flights from Minsk to Baku. Arif Mammadov, Vice-President of Azerbaijan Airlines told reporters.

"We try to lower the flight tickets. But today we received iformation from Belarus that from the 15th of April they want to suspend flights from Azerbaijan to Minsk as Azerbaijan sells flight tickets very cheap. They noted that while determining the price it is necessary to agree it with opposite side. Do not create problem for rival company otherwise we will cease the flights. " said A.Mammadov.

He informed that in order to solve the problem AZAL will promptly forward the appeal to the Belarusian Embassy in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani-Belarusian Joint Commission. "I think if they insist on the higher price of tickets or the suspension of the flights, we will agree on compromise," Mammadov stated.
