Lavrov: "Azerbaijani and Armenian IDPs should return home safely"

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer discussed the humanitarian situation in Karabakh during a telephone conversation, Report informs, citing the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Russian minister said that Azerbaijani and Armenian IDPs must return to their homes voluntarily and safely in full compliance with the provisions of international humanitarian law: "Of course, appropriate assistance should be provided to them to settle in previous settlements, especially if these places were affected by military operations and there is a need for rehabilitation. We talked about it today. International organizations can contribute to this issue "."
The ICRC President said they are in contact with all parties and expressed hope for the most effective cooperation.
