Organization of Islamic Cooperation congratulates Azerbaijan on Victory Day

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) congratulates Azerbaijan on the Victory Day - November 8 and honors with deep respect the memory of all martyrs, who died during the 44-day Patriotic War, Report informs, quoting a statement of the OIC General Secretariat.

"The OIC has always supported the settlement of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia in accordance with the relevant resolutions and decisions of the organization and the UN Security Council. The General Secretariat again calls on Armenia to respect the territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of the internationally recognized territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan and refrain from any territorial claims against it," the statement reads.

It is noted that the General Secretariat welcomes the efforts of the Azerbaijani government to carry out post-conflict reconstruction work in the liberated territories to ensure the safe and dignified return of Azerbaijan’s internally displaced persons there and calls on all OIC member states, as well as the international community, to provide their support and assistance to this effect.
