Estonian MPs issue statement on Azerbaijan's Victory Day

Sven Sester, chairman of the Estonian-Azerbaijani interparliamentary working group in the Riigikogu (Estonian parliament), has sent a congratulatory letter to the Milli Majlis. He said in his letter that the Estonian MPs had adopted a statement on the occasion of November 8 - Victory Day.

The statement expressed joy at the first anniversary of the end of the military conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia and welcomed the entry into force of the trilateral declaration dated November 10, 2020. Estonian parliamentarians commemorated those killed in the war and expressed their deep condolences to their families and relatives.

The members of the Interparliamentary Group, which signed the statement, recognize the right of all countries in the region to sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the inviolability of internationally recognized borders, wish success to all parties in rebuilding the region and call on communities to work closely.

Estonian MPs expressed support for the Republic of Azerbaijan in ensuring lasting peace, integration, and progress in the liberated territories.
