Austrian company Voith Hydro wants to build a new hydroelectric power plant (HPP) in Azerbaijan, the company's regional sales manager Fatih Haskilic said.

Haskilic talked about the construction at a B2B meeting of Azerbaijani and Austrian entrepreneurs organized in Baku with the support of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan.

"We have extensive experience in this field. We have built hydropower plants in Turkey, Georgia, and Iran. We are currently building hydropower plants in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. In parallel, we are negotiating the construction of new HPPs. At the end of the discussions, the location and capacity of the new plans will be known," he said.
