Erdogan says Turkey ready to mediate between Russia and Ukraine in any format

To reduce the tension observed between Russia and Ukraine recently and create a line of dialogue, Turkey is ready to mediate in any format based on the parties' consent, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told journalists upon return from Qatar, reported fom TRT Haber.

"We are watching the developments in Ukraine and around it closely," he said, adding that Turkey wants the tension to be reduced and stability to be maintained.

"Certainly, we won't hesitate to do whatever we can for the sake of peace in the region," the Turkish leader said.
