Ozil wants out of the Emirates

The Daily Mail are starting the week with a bang, claiming that Mesut Ozil wants to quit Arsenal as soon as January. The 25-year-old is reportedly unhappy with where Arsene Wenger is playing him on the pitch and is angling for a move home to Germany. The Gunners, who last summer paid a club record 42.5 million pounds to Real Madrid to lure the playmaker to London, are apparently open to the idea with Wenger ready to cut his losses after Ozil's less than spectacular start to the season.Pep Guardiola and Bayern Munich are prepared to offer 30 million pounds for the World Cup winner, with compatriots Sami Khedira, Mats Hummels and Julian Draxler all touted as possible targets for yet another Arsenal rebuild.Liverpool look to Portugal for another aceFresh off their raid of Benfica for Lazar Markovic in July, Liverpool are heading back to Portugal to secure another attacking prospect -- this time it's Belenenses' Fabio Sturgeon. The Mirror says that the attacking midfielder is valued at 2.4 million pounds by his club and while some of the bigger Portuguese teams are interested in recruiting Sturgeon, the 20-year-old, who has an English father, would rather move to the Premier League. If the Reds do buy Belenenses' ace, it could also end up being quite a coup for Roy Hodgson. Sturgeon has already played in the Portugal Under-20s team, but is also still eligible to play for England. After yet another toothless display by the Three Lions -- this time against Estonia on Sunday -- Sturgeon's attacking flair would surely interest Hodgson and his staff.Spurs want better striking optionsIt's taken just seven Premier League games for Mauricio Pochettino to decide that Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor aren't quite up to his standards. The former Saints boss is underwhelmed, according to The Mirror, with the misfiring Spaniard and the mercurial Togolese and has instructed his scouts to line up replacements to have ready as soon as the January window opens.Prolific Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder and Dutch ace Klaas Jan Huntelaar are rumoured to currently top Pochettino's wishlist.Tap-ins- Newcastle's Shane Ferguson is tired of sitting on the Magpies' bench and is pushing for a loan deal, says The Shields Gazette.- According to The Adelaide Advertiser, Nikita Rukavytsya has rejected a return to Perth Glory in favour of joining Asian Champions League finalists the Western Sydney Wanderers.- The Daily Express says Arsene Wenger has no intention of moving on Lukas Podolski in the January transfer window.(espnfc.com)Bakudaily.Az
