Hulusi Akar: Vessels to continue exporting grain from Ukraine under Turkish flag

Vessels sailing under the Turkish flag will be able to continue to transport grain from Ukrainian ports without problems, despite suspension of Russia's participation in the Black Sea grain pact, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said, reported from Anadolu.
"As of yesterday, the ships that left the Ukrainian ports and are in the sea, continue their way. There are no problems with the ships' leaving under the Turkish flag. They will continue to depart [from Ukrainian ports - ed.]," the minister said.
Akar voiced confidence that the grain deal will be continued.
"Progress in this direction continues. Assessing available data, we suppose that this agreement will be continued. Turkiye is waiting for Russia's response on the situation around the grain deal in the next two days. The parties agreed that only grain must be supplied from the ports and the corridor must be used for humanitarian assistance. Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu continues talks with his authorities within the information we provided," he said.
