FALCAO DID NOT LIE ABOUT HIS AGE: This one's been doing the rounds for a while, but the speculation has reached fever pitch since Falcao signed for Manchester United. Is he 28, born in 1986, as he maintains? Or is he 30, born in 1984, as his old school have suggested? The reasoning is, according to the Daily Mail, that he wanted to play at the Under-20 World Cup in 2005, so needed to lop a couple of years off his birthdate. No need to worry, though, United fans. The club have declared themselves happy with the documentation received.
OUR VIEW: As the Mail article rightly points out, Manchester United weren't actually all that bothered about 24 months either way - what they were really interested in was how well his knee is expected to hold up. If they're happy with the dates on his passport, then that should be an end to it - although even if he were to send copies of his birth certificate along with a notarised statement from his parents to every single football fan with internet access that probably wouldn't end the rumours, because folk just love a conspiracy theory.(uk.eurosport.yahoo.com)Bakudaily.Az
