Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced his intention to soon discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin the resumption of the "grain deal,” reported from TRT.

The Turkish leader was answering questions from journalists on board the plane upon returning from Hungary.

Erdogan said that he intends to talk with the Russian President in the near future to find ways to resume the "grain deal.”

"I hope we get a positive response,” he said.

Erdogan noted that the "grain corridor” is necessary to meet the needs of African countries for agricultural products.
