Azerbaijan’s transport and storage sector sees 2.6% growth in Jan-Feb 2026

 Azerbaijan’s transport and storage sector generated 2.267 billion manat in services during January–February 2026, a 2.6% real increase compared with the same period in 2025, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Freight volume totaled 36.3 million tons, down 0.1% year-on-year, while passenger traffic reached 331.9 million, marking a 7.5% increase.

Of the cargo transported, 60.3% was by road, 29.3% via pipelines, 6.8% by rail, 3.5% by sea, and 0.1% by air. Passenger transport was 88.7% by road, 10.6% by metro, with the remainder using other modes of transport.
