Georgia's National Security Council (NSC) convened a working group meeting to discuss the development of an early warning system for emergencies in the country.

According to the information, the head of the NSC apparatus, Levan Girsiashvili, announced that the recommendations will encompass a comprehensive notification system, extending beyond the mere installation of signal systems.

Georgia is partnering with experts from European Union countries and the United Nations Development Program to establish robust notification and response protocols. The early warning system aims to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens by addressing various potential threats and risks. It usually includes a map of designated shelters, evacuation plans, response protocols for various threats, a signal warning system, and comprehensive security measures.
