Poland scrambles fighter jets over Russian long-range aviation activity

Poland scrambled fighter jets early this morning, September 2, the operational command of the country's Armed Forces wrote on X.

It cited the activity of Russian long-range aviation as the reason for this. 

"All necessary procedures have been adopted to ensure the safety of Polish airspace, the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces is monitoring the situation," reads the statement.
