Russian ambassador: EU Mission to Armenia engaged in collecting intelligence data

The EU mission, which operates on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, is collecting intelligence data under the guise of monitoring to counter Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran, Russian Ambassador to Yerevan Sergey Kopyrkin said, Report informs reported from TASS.

He added that the fate of the South Caucasus should be determined exclusively by the countries of the region and neighboring partner states. 

"No one from outside will bring peace and prosperity to our common home. If we talk about the tasks of ensuring long-term regional security, stability and socio-economic development, then the plans of the collective West to militarize the region and expand the military-political influence of the EU and NATO in it do not correspond to them at all," Kopyrkin noted.
