Detained Armenians not part of Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty draft, says Simonyan

The issue of Armenians detained in Azerbaijan is not included in the draft peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku, according to Alen Simonyan, the Speaker of Armenia's National Assembly.

According to the information , which cites Armenian media, when speaking to journalists, Simonyan addressed the question of whether Armenia could raise the matter of the detainees' return as a condition for its participation in the upcoming COP-29 climate summit in Baku this November. He deemed such discussions premature at this stage.
