The US will receive a response to every action against Russian media, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on the air of the Soloviev.Live TV channel, reported from Russian media.

She noted that the Russian side will carefully analyze the restrictions adopted by the US and respond to them.

"They will have to understand that every action against our country will not go unanswered," Zakharova added.

Earlier, the US side announced the introduction of sanctions against the editor-in-chief of the RT TV channel Margarita Simonyan and her two deputies. The rules of work in relation to the media group Russia Today, RIA Novosti, RT, TV-Novosti, Ruptly and Sputnik have also been tightened.
