Charles Michel, Josep Borrell condemn Iran's attack on Israel
02.10.2024 11:30
The EU strongly condemns Iran's attack on Israel, which is a 'threat to regional security', President of the European Council Charles Michel and the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell said.

"I condemn in the strongest terms Iran’s attack against Israel; this is a threat to regional security. The deadly escalatory spiral in the Middle East must stop now. A regional war is in no one’s interest. The EU stands ready to support efforts to deescalate and protect civilian lives," Charles Michel wrote on X.

"The EU condemns in the strongest terms Iran’s attack against Israel. The dangerous cycle of attacks and retaliation risks to spiraling out of control. An immediate ceasefire across the region is needed. The EU remains fully committed to contribute to avert a regional war," Josep Borrell also wrote on X.
