Alen Simonyan: Karabakh was and remains internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan
22.10.2024 13:04
Karabakh was and remains the internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan, Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan said during a heated exchange with opposition deputy Gegham Manukyan, reported from Armenian media.

Simonyan acknowledged that while one can nitpick on specific wordings and attempt to build arguments, the fact remains undeniable: "The territory we are discussing was and is the internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan."

The speaker further pointed out that Azerbaijan conducted its operation in Karabakh with the backing of "at least 3-4 UN Security Council resolutions" in hand.
