Azerbaijani footballer Alakbar Mammadov dies

Well-known Azerbaijani footballer Alakbar Mammadov hasdied. He was 84.

According to Baku’s Sabail district police, Mammadovdied in his Baku apartment.

Emergency services entered the apartment three daysafter the footballer died.

Mammadov played with Baku’s Neftci and Moscow’s Dinamofootball teams.

He also participated in four matched of the USSR teamin 1958 and 1959.
