Russia is interested in the swift establishment of lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian Ambassador to Yerevan Sergey Kopyrkin said in an interview with Izvestia newspaper.

"It is important [...] that this crucial document for the region should be based on a fair settlement of all mutual concerns, without leaving a 'bitter aftertaste' for any of the parties," the ambassador noted.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in an interview with Armenian Public TV, mentioned "some positive developments" in negotiations with Azerbaijan.
