The Akim (Governor) of Mangistau region in Kazakhstan, Nurdaulet Kilybay, has promised to provide assistance with food and accommodation for the relatives of those affected in the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane crash in Aktau, reported from Tengrinews.

"We will provide all necessary assistance. The relatives from the list probably don't have any acquaintances or friends here. Almost all are foreigners. If you plan to come to Aktau, write down this phone number: +7 702 525 31 01. Help is available 24 hours a day at this number. Just indicate whose relative you are," he said.

The Akim added that assistance with food and accommodation will be provided to all relatives of the victims.

On December 25, an Embraer aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the Kazakhstani city of Aktau. There were 67 people on board, including 42 citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 from Russia, six from Kazakhstan, and three from Kyrgyzstan. According to the latest data, 38 people died.
