Pashinyan: Referendum needed for Armenia's EU membership

The issue of Armenia's membership in the European Union (EU) should be decided through a nationwide referendum, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated, Report informs via Armenian media.
"Regardless of whether the parliament adopts the relevant bill or not, Armenia's intention to join the EU should be confirmed through a nationwide referendum," Pashinyan emphasized.
Armenia has announced the initiation of its process to join the European Union (EU), reported from Armenian media.
The bill will be discussed at a government meeting today.
