Pashinyan: Referendum needed for Armenia's EU membership

The issue of Armenia's membership in the European Union (EU) should be decided through a nationwide referendum, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated, Report informs via Armenian media.

He made the remark during a government meeting where a bill on initiating Armenia's EU membership process was discussed.
"Regardless of whether the parliament adopts the relevant bill or not, Armenia's intention to join the EU should be confirmed through a nationwide referendum," Pashinyan emphasized.
