Putin: Russia ranks first in oil, gas supplies to China

Russia ranks first in oil and gas supply to China, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated during a video conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping, reported from Russian media.

"China is the largest consumer of Russia's energy resources. We rank first in oil exports (to China). Five years ago, along with you, we launched the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, and today Russia holds first place in natural gas supply to China," Putin noted.

According to China's General Administration of Customs, Russia supplied 108.47 million tons of oil in 2024, which is a record high.
