Cargo transshipment through the Kulevi oil terminal operated by Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR rose to 2.5 million metric tons in 2024, up from 2.16 million tons a year earlier, the company said on Monday.

Of the total volume, 950,000 tons were of Azerbaijani origin, while 1.55 million tons were transit cargo, SOCAR told Day.Az.

The Kulevi terminal, located on Georgia’s Black Sea coast, is operated by SOCAR and has been in service since May 2008. It handles the transportation and storage of hydrocarbons and petrochemical products and offers services including rail reception, tank storage, vessel loading, and port facility operations.
