ChatGPT lost over 16% of its market share in Azerbaijan in last 4 months

In March 2026, the market share of ChatGPT – a widely used artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot – across all platforms in Azerbaijan (computers, mobile devices, and tablets) reached 78.44%, according to Statcounter

This marks a slight decrease of 4.65 percentage points (pp) compared to February. Thus, its share has been decreasing for the 4th month in a row (the total decrease was 16.5%).

Google Gemini secured second place with a market share of 14.62%, up 3 percentage points from the previous month.

Perplexity followed, recording 2.92% after increasing its share by 0.13 percentage points compared to February.

Claude took fourth place with 2.25%, down 1.38 percentage points month-on-month.

Microsoft Copilot completed the top five at 1.77%, marking an increase of 0.14 percentage points compared to February.

Platform-specific AI chatbot rankings for March 2026 are as follows:

Computers:

- ChatGPT: 78.84% (-4.43 pp);

- Google Gemini: 13.37% (+2.41 pp);

- Perplexity: 3.43% (+0.41 pp);

- Claude: 2.57% (+1.59 pp);

- Microsoft Copilot: 1.79% (-0.02 pp).

Mobile Devices:

- ChatGPT: 75.83% (-5.90 pp);

- Google Gemini: 22.08% (+5.33 pp);

- Microsoft Copilot: 1.67% (+1.16 pp);

- Claude: 0.42% (last month was 0%).

Tablets:

- ChatGPT: 100% (no change).
