Energy cooperation remains a key agenda for Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said, highlighting the country’s longstanding contribution to global energy security.

Asadov noted that Azerbaijan exports natural gas to 16 countries, making it a world leader among nations using pipeline infrastructure for gas exports.

He emphasized that Azerbaijan’s energy strategy extends beyond hydrocarbons, with a strong focus on promoting green energy and developing renewable sources.

The Prime Minister added that leveraging renewable energy potential in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan to strengthen regional energy connections is a top priority. He also welcomed Kyrgyzstan’s plans to join green energy exports to Europe.
