Neymar’s agent has launched a scathing attack on Brazil manager Luis Felipe Scolari following the soul-destroying 7-1 defeat to Germany in the World Cup semi-finals, brandishing him “an old jerk, repulsive and conceited”.

Brazil suffered their worst defeat in their history when the World Cup hosts were left shocked and humiliated on Tuesday night, conceding five goals in 29 first-half minutes that will haunt the nation until the end of time. The defeat coincided with the absence of both influential captain Thiago Silva and star forward Neymar, and his agent Wagner Ribeiro has taken to Twitter to heavily criticise the man affectionately known as Felipao. In a six-point list of critical points, Ribeiro said: “One – being Portugal coach and winning nothing.“Two – going to Chelsea and being sacked the following day.Neymar’s agent has launched a scathing attack on Brazil manager Luis Felipe Scolari following the soul-destroying 7-1 defeat to Germany in the World Cup semi-finals, brandishing him “an old jerk, repulsive and conceited”.Brazil suffered their worst defeat in their history when the World Cup hosts were left shocked and humiliated on Tuesday night, conceding five goals in 29 first-half minutes that will haunt the nation until the end of time. The defeat coincided with the absence of both influential captain Thiago Silva and star forward Neymar, and his agent Wagner Ribeiro has taken to Twitter to heavily criticise the man affectionately known as Felipao. In a six-point list of critical points, Ribeiro said: “One – being Portugal coach and winning nothing.“Two – going to Chelsea and being sacked the following day.“Three – going to coach in Uzbekistan. Four – returning to Brazil, taking over a big team [Palmeiras] and getting them relegated to the second division.“Five – leaving the club 56 days before the end of the Brasileirao [season] to 'escape' relegation.”But after using Scolari’s recent track record to paint the 65-year-old in a negative light, he saved the best for last as his attack took a much more personal approach.“Six – being an old jerk, arrogant, repulsive, conceited and ridiculous,” he added to end his rant with a fierce view on the Selecao coach.Scolari has refused to resign from his post ahead of Saturday’s third-place play-off against Netherlands, although he did concede that he will meet with the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) to discuss his future with the national team.Neymar was absent for the semi-final mauling due to suffering a fractured vertebra in the quarter-final win over Colombia, and the 22-year-old forward will rejoin the squad ahead of Saturday’s encounter with the Dutch in an attempt to lift spirits among the Brazil squad, with morale at an all-time low following the unprecedented defeat.(independent.co.uk)Bakudaily.az
