U.S. and China to resume trade talks in London on June 10

U.S. and China to resume trade talks in London on June 10
10.06.2025 10:30

The United States and China will resume trade and economic talks in London on Tuesday following more than six hours of discussions the previous day, sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

Talks are set to continue at 10:00 a.m. London time (1:00 p.m. Baku time).

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent described the June 9 discussions as “good,” while Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick called them “productive.” U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer is also part of the delegation.

China’s delegation is led by Vice Premier He Lifeng, who declined to speak to the media after the first day of negotiations.

The dialogue mechanism was established after a May 10–11 meeting in Geneva, during which the two sides agreed to partially roll back mutual tariffs, which had exceeded 100%.
