Azerbaijan introduces a fixed monthly electricity tariff

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has approved amendments to the Law on Electricity, introducing a fixed monthly tariff for all consumers.

The fixed tariff is defined as a mandatory monthly charge aimed at covering a portion of non-consumption-related fixed costs. The amount will be determined by the regulatory authority.
