Azerbaijan’s consumer price index in August 2025 rose 4.9%

Azerbaijan’s consumer price index (CPI) in August 2025 rose 4.9% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee said on Wednesday.

Food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products led the increase with prices up 6.6%. Non-food goods rose 2.1%, while paid services to the population climbed 4.9%.

Compared with July 2025, the CPI rose 0.4%. For the period January–August 2025, inflation averaged 5.6% compared to the same period last year.
