Azerbaijan sees sharp decline in landline phone users

The number of landline phone users in Azerbaijan fell sharply in 2024, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Last year, only 1.175 million people used landline phones, down by around 225,000 from just over 1.4 million in 2023.

Officials said the decline reflects the population’s shift towards mobile communications and modern digital services.
