Messi says he could play at 2026 World Cup if in good shape

Inter Miami and Argentina forward Lionel Messi said he is open to playing at the 2026 World Cup if he feels physically fit.

“The most important thing is the desire — and I have plenty of it. But it’s also about feeling good enough to help the team and perform at my best,” Messi told journalist Fabrizio Romano on X.
