Under the proposed amendments to Azerbaijan’s Tax Code, individuals or businesses that fail to submit their tax registration applications within the legally prescribed timeframe will face a financial penalty of 200 manats.

Head of the State Tax Service Orkhan Mammadov announced the measure during his speech, noting that the goal is to strengthen compliance discipline among taxpayers and prevent delays in the registration process.

Mammadov added that the amendment is part of a broader reform package covering 145 legal adjustments across 45 articles, aimed at simplifying tax administration and improving the transparency of public revenues.
