Azerbaijan to take part in Caspian summit in Iran

Representatives of Azerbaijan will attend a meeting of leaders of coastal regions of the Caspian states, scheduled for 18–19 November in Rasht, northern Iran.

According to AzerTac, delegations from Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will join the two-day forum. Discussions will focus on trade cooperation, transport and transit projects, fisheries, environmental issues, mutual investments and infrastructure initiatives under the International North–South Transport Corridor.

Diplomats accredited in Iran, business leaders and private-sector representatives will also attend.

Azerbaijan will be represented by the heads of its Caspian coastal districts.
