Iran says Russia provided major support during June war with Israel

Russia gave substantial assistance to Iran during the 12-day June war with Israel, prompting deeper defence cooperation between the two countries, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

Araghchi made the remarks in an interview with The Economist.

“The Russians helped us very significantly during the 12-day war, and afterwards our cooperation became even more intensive. That is why I say we are now more prepared [for a potential conflict] than we were before,” he said.
