Azerbaijan reassesses land potential in three Lachin villages – minister

Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Ministry will work with the Defence Ministry and State Border Service to ensure the safe allocation of farmland to residents in the village of Zabukh, Minister Majnun Mammadov said.

He noted that a reduction in sown areas across the liberated territories in 2025 led to a 37% increase in productivity.

According to the minister, recent assessments show that the villages of Sus and Beylik have land unsuitable for cultivation, shifting the focus toward livestock and beekeeping. In Zabukh, arable land has been identified, and allocation will be coordinated with security agencies due to its proximity to the Armenian border.
