Azerbaijan is assessing the possibility of launching regular flights to Amman, Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said at the 4th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Jordan Intergovernmental Commission in Baku.

According to him, AZAL operated direct Baku–Amman flights during this year’s summer season, and options for both charter and regular flights are now being evaluated in terms of commercial viability.

Babayev added that 8,574 Jordanian citizens visited Azerbaijan in January–September 2025 — a 50% increase year-on-year. Trips by Azerbaijani citizens to Jordan grew by 105%, though absolute numbers remain low, indicating the need for greater promotion and better travel conditions.
