Azerbaijan’s Education Minister Emin Amrullayev awarded honorary doctorate by Georgian Technical University
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, has been granted an honorary doctorate by the Georgian Technical University (GTU), Azertag reported.
The ceremony took place in Tbilisi during the minister’s visit. GTU Rector David Gurgenidze briefed attendees on the university’s international projects, scientific achievements and ongoing research, and highlighted the successful participation of students in major global scientific experiments.
Ministers and invited guests met with Georgian and Azerbaijani students who presented innovative projects in robotics, artificial intelligence and modern technologies.
Both sides expressed readiness to implement new educational and scientific initiatives to further strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions.
Rector Gurgenidze awarded Amrullayev the honorary doctorate in recognition of his contribution to developing academic and scientific ties between Georgian and Azerbaijani universities.
