Court upholds ruling regarding Mammad Ibrahim, detained by the State Security Service
The appeal regarding the decision on the preventive measure applied to Mammad Ibrahim, a member of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP), who was detained by the State Security Service (SSS),
A decision was made today during the hearing at the Baku Court of Appeal.
The appeal was not granted, and the decision to apply the preventive measure of arrest was upheld.
Note that by the decision of the Sabail District Court, M. Ibrahim has been placed in pre-trial detention for 2 months and 15 days.
He has been charged under Article 278.1 of the Criminal Code (actions aimed at seizing state power by force, retaining power by force, or forcibly changing the constitutional order).
Recall that APFP chairman Ali Karimli and Presidium member Mammad Ibrahim were questioned at the State Security Service as part of the investigation being conducted regarding them.
After searches were carried out in their homes, they were taken to the State Security Service.
According to reports, the searches and questioning of Ali Karimli and Mammad Ibrahim are connected to the criminal case being investigated by the SSS involving Ramiz Mehdiyev.
