Over 1,200 hectares cleared of mines in Azerbaijan’s liberated lands

Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has reported that nearly 1,299 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance (UXOs) between December 15 and 21, 2025.

During the reporting period, a total of 145 anti-personnel mines, 46 anti-tank mines, and 525 unexploded ordnances were detected and neutralized. The operations were carried out by ANAMA, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Border Service, and four private companies.

The demining activities spanned across the districts of Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Shusha, Khojavend, Lachin, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan, as well as several liberated villages in the Gazakh district.
