Erdogan accuses Israel of blocking Gaza aid with "absurd excuses"

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday accused Israel of obstructing humanitarian aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip, claiming that Tel Aviv is failing to honor commitments despite an active ceasefire.

"Israel is not keeping its word, constantly creating difficulties and obstacles for the delivery of humanitarian aid by making up absurd excuses," Erdogan told members of his ruling AK Party.

The Turkish leader's comments came amid reports of potential new Israeli settlements in northern Gaza, a claim later denied by the office of Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz. While the Jerusalem Post reported that Israel has no plans for such settlements, Erdogan reaffirmed that Turkey remains opposed to "injustice" and continues to advocate for regional peace.
