Traffic police warn drivers ahead of weekend

Azerbaijan’s State Traffic Police under the Interior Ministry has issued a warning to road users ahead of the weekend.

The police said difficult weather conditions persist in several parts of the country, including precipitation, fog and icy roads in mountainous areas, significantly increasing the risk of traffic accidents.

Given heavier traffic on national highways during weekends, drivers are advised to remain highly alert, travel during daylight hours, strictly observe speed limits, avoid using vehicles with summer or worn tyres, and refrain from driving technically faulty cars.

The traffic police urged all road users to comply with traffic regulations to ensure safe journeys.
