Azerbaijan pursues a principled and balanced foreign policy
Azerbaijan’s foreign policy is based on international law, sovereignty and historical justice, and the country does not build relations with one state at the expense of another, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.
Speaking on Azerbaijan’s diplomatic approach, Bayramov said Baku applies a differentiated framework to relations with neighboring countries, strategic partners and other states, while adhering to consistent core principles.
“Azerbaijan does not follow a single geopolitical vector or pursue policies against third countries. Our foreign policy is systematic and consistent,” he said.
Addressing relations with Russia and Ukraine, Bayramov said Azerbaijan continues to support Ukraine’s territorial integrity while maintaining pragmatic and respectful relations with the Russian Federation.
On the Israel-Palestine issue, he said Azerbaijan supports a two-state solution and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, while continuing cooperation with Israel based on mutual interests.
Bayramov said the approach reflects Azerbaijan’s independent foreign policy and its commitment to avoiding involvement in geopolitical confrontation.
