Baku and Absheron to see mild weather and shifting winds on Thursday

Azerbaijan’s National Hydrometeorological Service expects variable cloudiness and mild temperatures across the Baku and Absheron regions on Thursday, Jan. 8.

While the morning may start with local fog and a northwest breeze, winds are forecasted to shift to a moderate southwest direction during the day.

Temperatures in the capital will range from 2–4°C at night to 8–12°C during the day. In rural provinces, conditions will remain predominantly dry with highs reaching 11–16°C, although mountainous areas may see overnight freezes as low as -5°C. Atmospheric pressure is expected to dip slightly to 761 mm
