Azerbaijan to perform in first half of second semi-final at Eurovision 2026
According to the draw results published by the European Broadcasting Union, Azerbaijan’s representative will perform in the first half of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The performance is scheduled for May 14, 2026, in Vienna, at the Wiener Stadthalle.
A total of 15 countries will compete in the second semi-final, including Armenia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania, Australia and others.
Azerbaijan’s public broadcaster İTV has not yet announced the name of the artist who will represent the country. The submission process and internal selection are still under way. Media reports have previously mentioned a possible entry by rapper Asya Alizade, but no official confirmation has been given.
Voting during the second semi-final will also involve two of the “Big Five” countries — France and the United Kingdom — as well as host nation Austria.
The 2026 contest marks Eurovision’s 70th anniversary and will feature 35 participating countries.
The first semi-final will take place on May 12, the second semi-final on May 14, and the grand final on May 16.
